Minimalism, dynamism, and sustainability are unquestionable premises in each of the works by Leonardo Omar Architects. Principles that have made the studio internationally recognized for famous projects like Baobab Suites, Abama 3B1, or Royal Hideaway Corales Resort. Unsurprisingly, the design of the iconic hotel in La Caleta (Tenerife) has won significant awards such as the World Travel Awards or the World Luxury Hotel Awards.

Therefore, it's a great opportunity to chat with its founder, the architect Leonardo Omar, with whom we have taken stock of the studio's fantastic trajectory and its new ventures. "We have generated a complete trend change in the architecture made in Tenerife," he proudly tells us. A before and after on the Island where the firm seeks to "use outdoor space" and the experience of "living outside what is the house, which is what tourists are always looking for when they visit us."

This has marked the architectural vision of the studio in each of its projects, to which is added a component of sustainability carried out by making the most of the "slight thermal differences" of our destination throughout the year. It's about "returning to the parameters of 100 or 200 years ago on how houses were built, but with modern materials." After all, "our great-grandparents were doing bioclimatic architecture," something we have forgotten.

HOME FEELINGS, THE LUXURY OF INVESTING IN TENERIFE

The studio's 23 years of life have led to a large portfolio of clients, who are mostly foreigners. "They first came looking for homes, to make the Island their holiday destination, but gradually, with the legal security and quality of life that especially the south of Tenerife offers, they are being encouraged to make investments and move to workspaces for foreign capital," Leonardo details. Aware that this is an excellent opportunity to stimulate the Canary Islands' economy, Leonardo Omar Architects has launched Home Feelings, which is "a new project born to channel all the investments of those clients who have trusted the studio all these years to develop investment projects." "These are projects with a global image and idea, but focused on Tenerife and always seeking the luxury tourism product, which has been developed in the last 10-15 years on the Island," adds the architect.

For these clients, Home Feelings is the perfect occasion to "find land, options, places, and investment opportunities for that foreign capital." The first projects of this program are being housing, faithful to the studio's philosophy that clients find paradise both inside and outside the accommodation. You only need to see the impressive Villa Infinity (La Caleta) or Villa Atlantico (Abama Golf), planned for the end of 2024. But other projects for luxury work or leisure spaces will arrive, of which there is "a great shortage in Tenerife."

Certainly, a collection of luxury properties that will make our destination even more special in the eyes of foreigners. Everything that bears the seal of Leonardo Omar Architects, more than welcome it will be.
